Mad Fifth Typeface
In my Typographic Design course at Syracuse University, I had the opportunity to create a typeface from scratch. The caveat being, it had to be
inspired by one of the faculty in Newhouse. It’s a very well known project throughout the Newhouse halls as most professors dream of having a typeface designed
for them. The professor that I chose is a Newhouse School advertising professor named Beth Egan.
My idea was inspired by the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and Madison Ave of the 1960s.
